EBM Civils is a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering rail, energy and water infrastructure works across the country. Directors based across the midlands and the north west, supported by delivery teams nationally. The directors and supporting staff have a track record delivering major infrastructure programmes — including schemes up to £100m — for Tier 1 contractors, we bring principal-contractor-level engineering discipline to subcontract delivery. Turnkey project delivery, a single point of contact and minimised client interfaces run through everything we do.

Achilles UVDB – The gold standard for supplier pre-qualification in the UK utility industry (water, power, gas & telecoms). This accreditation confirms our business meets the highest levels of health and safety compliance, environmental management, quality systems, and corporate responsibility – trusted by the biggest DNOs, utility contractors, and asset owners. As specialists in civil engineering, we are fully equipped to handle turnkey substation projects.

Achilles Link-Up / RISQS (Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) – The official rail industry pre-qualification system supported by Network Rail and the wider UK rail sector. We are now fully approved to deliver on-track and off-track services for various civil engineering and construction projects, including Sentinel sponsorship. This approval allows us to deploy skilled rail operatives and undertake works while ensuring health and safety compliance across the UK’s expanding rail infrastructure.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) enables companies, particularly those involved in civil engineering and construction projects, to demonstrate health and safety compliance. There are three levels of CHAS accreditation: CHAS Standard, with SSIP accreditation, CHAS Advanced, which includes PAS 91 requirements, and CHAS Elite, representing the highest standard.
EBM Civils is committed to delivering social value alongside every infrastructure project we undertake — supporting local employment and supply chains across the North West and Midlands, investing in the training and development of our site teams, and reducing the environmental impact of our works through materials reuse and sustainable earthworks practices. As we grow, we're formalising this commitment further to align with the social value requirements of AMP8, RIIO-3 and CP7 frameworks.
